Getting ready

Yesterday, I felt a little unwell. When I got home, I felt the urge to start to finish off getting ready. So, I've packed my hospital bag and don't more organising with Baba's stuff.

I think I'll try and clean the house from top to bottom this weekend.

Is this "nesting" ? or am I just panicking ?

It's less then 5 weeks to go now !!

NCT classes

Not had a chance to mention that Andy and I have attended NCT antenatal classes the last two Saturdays.

It was very good and we got to learn the whole aspect of the birthing process and more importantly the choices we can have.

It was great to talk through our feelings about labour, birth and life with a new baby. Everyone there have the same worries as us, we are quite normal !

I'm more relax about the birthing bit now, so it's worth it just for that !

Oops...baba update

Just realised that I haven't updated the blog with regards to the scan.

We went to Stepping Hill on Wednesday(2/2) for another scan to check that the due date is correct.

We did have another discussion about finding out the sex of the baby, but decided that since we'll find out for definite in 8 weeks, there's no point.

We had a different sonographer who was a bit more chatty. Baba was sleeping, and sucking its fingers/thumb. Its head is point down, which is a good start.

She measured the diameter of the head and tummy. She put the figures on the chart and it shows that Baba is average size.

I guess that if Baba is average (European) size. It would feel big compare to me.

Baba week 32 midwife checkup

I had a checkup with the midwife this morning.

As part of the checkup, she had a feel of the womb and she said that it feels like its 2 weeks bigger than the estimated date. So she has booked me into have another scan tomorrow.

I'm not particularly worried.
It's just that I wasn't expected to see Baba till the birth and now with only 8 weeks to go I wasn't bothered about a scan.
Hopefully, it's just Baba is normal size(Andy size) and it seems big in my smallish frame.

I'm hoping we don't get to find out what sex it is. With only 8 weeks, I can just about wait!
